DMCA / Takedown Policy

1. Respect for Intellectual Property

StrikeMap respects the intellectual property rights of others. We aggregate and display content from third-party sources for informational and analytical purposes. If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, we provide a process to request its removal.

2. Submitting a Takedown Request

To submit a takedown request, send a written notice to our designated agent (see Section 7) that includes all of the following:

• Description of the copyrighted work — Identify the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
• URL of the infringing content — Provide the specific URL(s) on StrikeMap where the allegedly infringing material is located. General references to the site are not sufficient.
• Your contact information — Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• Accuracy statement — A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative.

Incomplete notices may not be actionable. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you if your notice is missing required information.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you posted or contributed was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent that includes:

• Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it previously appeared.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number.
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland, and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original takedown notice.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

4. Response Timeline

• Acknowledgment — We will acknowledge receipt of a valid takedown request within 48 hours.
• Action — We will review and act on the request within 10 business days. If the request is valid, the identified content will be removed or access disabled.
• Notification — If content is removed, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the user who posted or contributed the material, unless prohibited by law.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

StrikeMap maintains a policy for terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Users who receive multiple valid takedown notices may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated at our discretion.

6. Misuse of Takedown Process

Knowingly submitting a false or misleading takedown request is a serious matter. Under applicable law, you may be liable for damages (including costs and legal fees) if you materially misrepresent that content on StrikeMap infringes your copyright.
